San Diego’s beaches are perfect for maternity photo sessions; am I right!?

Sweet Baby Number 2!

This military family met up with me on Windansea Beach here in La Jolla for their Maternity photo session. Mom brought this olive/army green dress, and I brought the burnt orange / Amber color Jersey Knit Chicaboo gown! Which, is in my client closet for ANY client to use, Maternity or not.

Don't forget to take as many breaks as you need!

Sadly, our photo session only lasted a few minutes before the sky lit up beautifully at sunset and momma needed a little extra help because babe was pushing on her nerve. Just to be safe, we ended the session and momma got the medical attention she needed! YOU and your babies health come before photos <3

I wanted to be cool like all the other photogs and make one huge collage of all my clients from 2019 and thank you all but... Let's be real. Who has time for that?! 😅😏🤔 2019 was my year to focus on family and build boundaries as a self-employed mother working out of the home AND going to school. I loved every min of it. I didn't "try" to book sessions but I did make great progress in my photo journey. And so did my husband! He's been my sidekick in everything and now he is my personal family documenter <3 Thanks, Hun. Together, this year we took OVER 100 INDIVIDUAL FAMILY SELF PORTRAIT SESSIONS. That's crazy! 108+ unique sessions for 2019 as a family. No, I am NOT caught up in editing but I can't wait to show you all that we have done. Here are the rest of 2019's numbers: 25 Military Homecomings ⚓️🛳🇺🇸 13 Portrait Sessions 🤰🤱💍 (Maternity through Couples) 16 Creative Sessions with other Photogs 🎨👥🤝 14 Mini Sessions (all in Dec) 🎄🎁🎉 108+ Unique Self Portraits 💃🕺 And that's a wrap! Photographing military events and milestones are one of the most rewarding types of sessions I have ever photographed. I consider it a huge perk of living in a military town that I get to shoot them very often and am always honored to do so.
